Wash and hull 1 cup (240 ml) of fresh strawberries. If you're using frozen strawberries, there's no need to thaw them.
Peel and slice 1/2 ripe banana.
In a blender, combine the strawberries, banana, 1/2 cup (120 ml) of unsweetened almond milk, 1/4 cup (60 ml) of Greek yogurt (if using), 1/2 tbsp (7.5 ml) of honey (if using), and 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) of vanilla extract (if using).
Add 1/4 cup (60 ml) of ice cubes for a thicker consistency and a refreshing chill.
Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are well combined and the smoothie is creamy and smooth.
