Chocolate Chip Cookies

 180 g All-purpose flour (1½ cups)
 10 g Matcha powder (2 tablespoons)
 5 g Baking soda (1 teaspoon)
 2 g Salt (½ teaspoon)
 115 g Unsalted butter (softened) (½ cup)
 100 g Granulated sugar (½ cup)
 100 g Brown sugar (packed) (½ cup)
 1 Egg (large)
5 ml Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon)
 150 g Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
Preheat the Oven
1

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients
2

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt. Reserve.

Cream Butter and Sugars
3

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with a hand or stand mixer until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).

Add Wet Ingredients
4

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Combine Dry and Wet Mixtures
5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix on low speed until just combined. Avoid overmixing to prevent cookies from becoming tough!

Fold in Chocolate Chips
6

Gently fold in the Nestle chocolate chips so they're distributed evenly throughout the dough.

Scoop and Bake
7

Drop balls of dough by tablespoon or cookie scoop onto prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between cookies. Bake 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but centers appear slightly underdone.

Cool and Enjoy
8

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Then dig in and enjoy your matcha-chocolate masterpiece!
